The Metal Box

Acknowledgement

In 2019, I hoped to share this amazing story; however, those well-laid plans were paused, mainly due to COVID. The past two years has made some people, especially myself, feel life was placed on hold.  At this time, I wish to recognize those we have lost, those who continue to struggle and those we still have in our lives.  I hope we continue to move forward and find ourselves in a better, happier place.

With the assistance of the Glassboro Historical Society and the Glassboro Memory Mapping Project, we now continue our efforts to share this story. I would like to thank them for their help and a platform to record and preserve history. My special heartfelt thanks and love to Denise, whose guidance, faith and lessons concerning the past have helped me shape the telling of this story. To my adopted mom and unofficial editor, Theresa DiVietro, my love and unrenouncing gratitude who for 30-plus years has been an inspiration to me.  My sincere appreciation and gratitude to both the Puriefoy and Aaron families and to my family for their support and encouragement to help me see this story to fruition.  I hope you enjoy this look back in time and the people surrounding it.
