Local educator, historian, and author, Robert P. Tucker will be at the Glassboro’s Historic West Jersey Train depot on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24 from 1 pm to 4 pm to discuss and sign his new book The History of Elsmere: African American Life in Glassboro, NJ. The book is a thoroughly researched examination of African American life in Glassboro, NJ and includes a rich array of storytelling, history, and photographs. The West Jersey Train Depot will also have a unique and informative exhibit of items and photographs of the Elsmere community, including the area known as “Eighty Acres” farmland.
